Kenneth Hughes has performed as an actor, dancer, singer and voiceover-actor in Film, Radio, TV and Theater. He enjoys works from the bawdy to the sublime. He believes that art brings the best side from people and that creativity in any endeavor is a high achievement. And none have spoken more splendidly in the 3rd person about themselves than he.

Biography He has worked with Michael Bay, Christopher Columbus, Madonna, Meryle Streep, the Coen brothers, Matthew Ralston, Tracy Ullman, Julie Taymor, ISO Dance, The Actors Gang, Diavalo Dance. He had films in Cannes and Sundance, and taught at CalArts. He has danced and acted with several impromptu guerilla theater and film groups, competed internationally stunt riding on horses, sung in the California Boys Choir conducted by Zubin Mehta and L.A. Philharmonic. He has a pilot's license, Cinema degree and an Equine Science degree. He is a third year law student. |
Currently: Kenneth recently completed shooting in Bulgaria on the feature film: FAKE IDENTITY starring Val Kilmer. He also starred as Physics Genius, Dr. Louis Mastenbrook in indie feature Einstein God Model shot in Chicago and both due out in 2009. He worked out of London on Discovery Channel for Russia and was a spokesperson for BestBuy. He is also excited to be playing General Sherman in an internet series entitled: Time Buddies (the adventures of General Sherman and Dr. Sausages). In January he completed acting in a short with Japanese Star: Tsuyoshi Ihara. Kenneth's feature film directorial debut BAD DOG AND SUPERHERO www.baddogandsuperhero.com played the CALGARY FRINGE FILM FESTIVAL Winning a BEST DIRECTOR Award and Nominated for BEST SCREENPLAY. It also played at HHM and won the "Stand up for the Stand out" Award. Mr. Freeway and Grandma Opera two of his short films continue a lively festival run. |
Awards, etc. Kenneth has received acting awards from Drama-logue/Backstage west, and an Ovation award. He has had films in Sundance, Cannes. He acted in films that have won best film at NY Film Festival and DIY in Los Angeles. He has had numerous scholarships for acting and dance in Los Angeles and once recieved a Gold Star on his forehead from his second grade teacher for being silent for a full hour. |
Future: Fake Identity with Val Kilmer will be released in 2009. He is also playing Ben in a film entitled A LITTLE STEP expected to complete in 2009. Kenneth directed a short musical called Wahoosical Musical that is currently being finished editing. He is also editing a documentary Dan's Wreck about a man who has an "Artistic episode". His next feature: FLICKERING TIME will start shooting in 2009 and scheduled for release in 2010. The movie Ocean Park in which he played the starring role can now be streamed on Netflix. |
